what’s up? you should come over sometime!

I could do that, Clove. Sure I could… ;)

So, what are you up to? Anything…

As he waited for the other Distirct 2 girl to meet him, the brutish Cato carefully picked a slender spear into his hands, the pads of his fingers brushing against the wood. With a determined scowl, he raised it above his head, pushing his body weight behind his lunge. As he did, the muscles in his upper arms rippled slightly, a singular bead of sweat dripping from his forehead. His body tensed at a sudden noise. An opening of a door. Swiftly, he span round, cocking his head. “I didn’t think you’d come so soon.” A smile spreading across his face as he spoke smoothly. “Please. Join me.”

His eyebrows quirked when she answered to his compliment. “Of course. The Clove I know. Able to take a compliment with ease and grace… then change the subject completely. It’s how it’s always been.” He said, plastering a smirk onto his face. Suddenly intimidated by the precision of Clove’s throw, Cato felt the overwhelming urge to prove himself. Instead of reaching for another spear, he grappled for a small knife, similar to Clove’s. His eyes narrowing in determination, he raised it by his ear, throwing the knife, the sound of the connection from the blade and the dummy ricocheting off of the walls of the gym. Fortunately, the blade impaled where the eye should be on the dummy, and Cato let out a small, incoherent sigh of relief.

“Well, you can’t win if I’m there. We’d be neck and neck. Probably on luck, you know. The beauty of the Games. You can simply wait for the others to pick away slowly… and just wait. Until there’s two of you left… then you’re in the lead to win.” He shrugged nonchalantly, wiping his brow with the sleeve of his jumper. “Besides. For the start of the Games, if we were ever in it together… well, we’d be allies, won’t we? We would. Yeah. We could last longer together. Not that it worries me. Best friend? Thanks, Clove.” He smiled, hiding the anguish in his eyes. Friends. That was all they’d ever be, of course. There was no chance of romance ever. Clove was… well, she was something of a slut. Attractive slut, yes. But a slut nonetheless. It made no difference to Cato.

“Of course you’re my best friend! We’re part of ‘the four’ remember? Me, you, Glimmer, Marvel? Well Glimmer and Marvel hate me now so I’m not too sure….” Clove said. “Why would they hate you?” Cato asked. “Because Glimmer found out I slept with Marvel…” Clove announced to him. “You did?” he asked. Clove nodded her head.

“Yeah… well, I never did like Marvel.” He muttered, apprehensively. “He was always… in the way.” Subconsciously, however, his fists had balled, as he turned away, starting across the room. “You slept with Marvel.” He told himself quietly, the jealousy boiling inside his veins like a drug. “Any reason? Did you just think he was hot?” He added, a wave of hurt washing over him. Even though, he had no reason to be hurt. She was a slut! He knew it! Everyone did. She slept with people for no reason… yet… it did mean things. It just made him angry, how other men had defiled her body, and he’d never been that far with her. Other girls, yes. But not Clove. Their friendship would never get that far. “Anyway,” he said, hastily changing the subject. “What do you want to do?”

Good afternoon.

Hi, Cato… I haven’t seen you around recently. How are you?

I’m perfectly fine… Yourself?

I’m okay. You seem… Tense, somehow. You sure you’re alright?

Tense? I’m always tense. It’s how I train. Simple. But yes, I’m perfectly sure I’m all right. Disorientated, but fine.

girl-with-the-strawberries:

so…how’s it going with you guys?

Alright… and how about you, Undersee?

Unfortunately, the boy’s heavy feet seemed to find every possible way of making noise, no matter how hard he tried not to. Silently cursing himself, Cato bit down on his lower lip, drawing ruby red specks of blood. He refrained from pulling his knife out, his hands were just as complex weapons anyway. He was very strong- no doubting that. And he’d use it to hurt, and to harm people. Not for good. Again, his head twisted to the side when she called in a hoarse, croaky voice, and his eyebrows raised. Surely, if an attacker was out there, he wasn’t just going to answer her. But… considering Cato wasn’t planning on attacking her… yet… he decided to answer. “Yes.” He replied coolly, “but what brings you out by this lake?” He added quickly, to heighten his point. He was here to see what she was doing. It made sense. Although, Cato found the girl to be a bit of a threat… he’d seen how Clove had been looking at her… it infuriated him beyond belief. Remain civil, his mind chided cautiously.

eternally-bliss:

Seconds passed, and Bliss still hadn’t heard anyone answer her question. Maybe it was nothing, she thought. She was just being paranoid. Unexpected, a boy’s voice replied back. It sounded familiar, but she knew it wasn’t anyone from District 12 because he has a slight coldness on his reply. “Nothing, really. I was just visiting on where my friend and I went before. The district’s quite boring today.” She commented. She hasn’t got any friends, except for Madge, Leo, and Finnick. She was okay with the others, especially Prim, but she doubted that Katniss wouldn’t approve on her talking to Prim. “Can you show yourself? I don’t want to look stupid talking to someone hidden there in the trees.” Bliss said lightly, a bit of humor in her voice. She didn’t want to make an enemy out of someone today, nor any day that comes after this.

He nodded curtly when she gave him her explanation on why she’d been sat at a lake on her own. “The District’s always boring. It always will be, here. We’re outsiders. We don’t belong here.” He retorted, a slight icy lilt to his voice. “But yes.” He added thoughtfully, slowly stepping to the side. His knife still hidden in its sheath. “We didn’t really get off to a good start. Not that I want to rectify it, or was I implying that we should become better friends… no. That was a mere observation. But… it does seem rather… odd, how you might think that I followed you here. I didn’t.” He assured her, raising his hands slightly. “Nor am I going to attack you. But you’re not from 12, are you?” He asked, almost curious as to where Bliss was from. It still didn’t quell the enmity he felt toward her, about Clove.

cato-district2:

The wind blew softly against the tendrils of Cato’s hair as he began to walk, armed with a knife. The boy, originally from District 2, would never leave without it. The prospect of being unarmed was frightening, overprotective of himself and Clove, Cato vowed to himself, that a weapon would always be nearby. He sat by the edge of the forest of District 12… the alien District. All his life, he’d lived in 2, the District for masonry. Now… after the rebellion, in a completely different place.. it was very disorientating. His curiosity piqued, however, as he saw a blonde girl enter the woods. With a furrow of his brow, he precariously jumped to his feet, keeping out of sight. As lightly as his feet would carry him, he cocked his head, and began to follow, sticking to the trees as a form of disguise. He was simply curious, as to what the girl would be doing. They’d been introduced, and, they were acquaintances. That was all, for now. The girl’s name was Bliss, and she was another of the people to be relocated to District 12. Perhaps she’d know how he was feeling, the disorientation of being forced into a different District… deeper and deeper into the woods he traveled, until he found another… different surrounding. A lake, of some sort. Yet, the beauty of the scene was mesmerizing.

As soon as the peaceful sensation engulfed Bliss, she heard a crackle of twigs to her right. Her head snapped to where the sound started. She was unarmed and barely knew how to fight with her own hands. Friend or foe, she didn’t know. Hopefully, it wasn’t one of those stray bears. She’d be dead for sure. She didn’t know why, but the impulse of walking towards the sound was growing. She wasn’t one of those think-before-you-speak people. So naturally, she stood up and licked her lips, before saying, “Is anyone out there?” Her voice cracked at the last part, making it very ironic. Wasn’t those the words people say when there were attackers? She bit her lip to muffle the giggle that might come out of her lips.

Yeah, but I don’t go trick or treating any more, so it doesn’t really matter. I sit on my computer, married to Facebook and Tumblr! Simple enough. I went last year. I don’t remember what as, but I’m sure, if I was asked to trick or treat, I could rustle something up;DD (Never too old for trick or treating!)

Hahah that is pretty much my life right now xD But we don’t celebrate Halloween here. No trick or treating for this girl D;

WHY?! Halloween is just an excuse to go around, scaring the shit out of people! I personally enjoy doing that;)

Idk it’s just not done here :/ LOL I do that anyway x)

As far as Bliss would go into the forest, she finally arrived at the lake with no purpose. She just found this a few days ago, with her walks with Leo. Granted a photographic memory, Bliss just retraced the path on which they took and easily arrived at the said lake. She sat down on a wide rock that can hold two people, and began to make patterns with her fingers using the dirt on the rock.
