Heyyy girls Leo is heeere… er and guys. Everyone. Hi.

I’ve got no doubt in my mind that ALL of you have been so sad about not seeing me around like you usually do. Sorry about that. I was… working on an extremely intricate cake. -shrugs- What’s everyone been up to?

Yes, of course we’ve been ever so distraught from your absence. Not much. I’ve been taking Clove into the forests. Perfecting her throwing. And yourself, Baker boy?

Ah, perfecting her throwing? So THAT’S what you two have been up to in the forests. *chuckles* Well, I have been baking a lot. We always bake a lot around the games, everyone likes to watch them with a pastry in their hand. This is the first day my mother has let me out of the kitchen for longer than an hour!

Of course. Did you think we were doing other things? -rolls eyes- No. We’re…. we’re just friends, Roux. All we ever will be. Yes. I know you bake a lot, hence why I called you baker boy. The Games are crude, yet I’ve been training all my life for my chance… I could win it! I really could. Your mother is very strict, I see. Perhaps we are more alike than thought.

*grins* Alright, you were merely perfecting her throwing skills. *puts hands up* I’ve realized that you’ve been training all your life, actually. You’re always out and about. Is your mother the one who has been pushing your training a lot?

Of course. We train together. Whenever she, or I, gets mad, we comfort each other. That’s all there is to it. Yes. All my life. A Career Tribute, and all… no, it’s my father. He won his Games… so he wanted me to win mine. Eccentric, some may say.

Well, I understand how you feel. But in a different way. It’s always “bake, bake, bake” at my house. Sure, experimenting with different flours and oils and dedicating hours to make frosting decorations precise is a much different atmosphere than… whatever you do. Running? Hunting? Shooting? See, I’m not even that aware of how one would train for the games. I’ve been trained to remember recipes, and the techniques my mother has passed down on to me. My hands must be steady, and my eyes soak in a great deal of detail. It’s difficult work, but rewarding in the end.

This is where the Districts are completely different. Were you in 2, then you would be mocked for your absolute foolishness, by baking, and not training. Although, I am trying to… er… start afresh, as they say, and I shall refrain from adding to that statement. It’s mainly sword work, actually. But yes, all of the above. I’m best with a sword, or a spear though. And it’s more satisfying, really. It does seem… quite… well, /hard/ to be a baker, really.

It isn’t easy, I hope you meant that. I know that I couldn’t swing a sword around to save my life. Which is why I’m slightly terrified. If I ever get picked to be in the Games, I’m sure I’d be one of the first ones dead. Perhaps you could teach me to use a sword sometime?

Of course, that’s certainly what I meant. I’d be hung dry and quartered, however, if I said that back in 2. It’s all about strength in the arm, young Roux. Let’s just hope that you’re never reaped then… it could get messy. Perhaps I could. I would oblige, if you truly wished, Roux. Then what would they say about you and I going into the woods together? The same things about me and Clove? -smirks-
